IEWT 2025 TU Wien
Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the IEWT 2025 at TU Wien. The conference featured many insightful contributions and exchanges. Our team presented the following research:
Learnings for emerging storage technologies” Additionally, Viktor Schüßler participated in the preceding PhD Day, where he received valuable feedback and insights on scientific writing.
A big thank you to the team of Hans Auer at EEG for organising this excellent event.
Doctoral seminar in Bad Herrenalb
Our semi-annual doctoral seminar took place from 21 - 23 January. Together with the chairs of Systems Energy Analysis of ETH Zurich and the Paul Scherrer Institute, we were in Bad Herrenalb. In addition to 14 exciting presentations, research-related discussions and helpful feedback from our doctoral students, this time there was another special feature: the chairs of Energy Economics and Business Administration, Production and Operations Management of KIT were on site at the same time as us, so that we were able to benefit from 5 additional presentations in a large, joint session. During our excursion, we explored Bad Herrenalb in a live escape game. Here, as well as during shared meals and evenings, we were able to review the day and continue to exchange ideas and network about our research and even further beyond. All in all, it was a successful event that has us looking forward to the next seminar in six months' time.
