Teaching

In principle, graduates in energy technology and business occupations are expected to have a networked understanding and thinking, e.g. in order to understand cause-and-effect relationships, as well as a pronounced problem-solving competence, e.g. the ability to approach complex problems in a structured way. Therefore, system analytical questions and methods play a central role in our course programme.

Our courses are aimed at students of all three degree programmes of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Because of the interdisciplinary orientation, however, students of other departments also like to choose our courses. In order to prepare students for a career both within and outside the scientific system, our courses make specific reference to practical applications as well as to current research projects. In order to facilitate access to our teaching program for students from abroad and to train working in interlingual and intercultural groups, we offer a range of courses in English.
